Bonne Vie Macarons started in 2017 with a simple idea: make something beautiful and, make it delicious.
What began as small-batch macarons and tarts has grown into a full menu of handcrafted desserts, from signature macarons to cookie sandwiches, brownies, petit fours, and seasonal favorites, all made in-house with a whole lot of care.
But somewhere along the way, it became about more than dessert.
Books have always been part of Bonne Vie.
From our first little free library at Kaliste Saloom, to the bigger one at Verot, we’ve always loved sharing stories right alongside something sweet. Over time, that turned into conversations. Then into book clubs.
That’s what led to Book Club & Co., Louisiana’s first romance-only bookstore, a space built for readers who wanted more than just a place to buy a book. A place to talk about it, to experience it, and to come back again and again.
Inside the shop, you’ll find shelves filled with curated romance reads, from rom-coms and giggles to smutty and depraved, alongside a calendar full of book clubs, events, and nights.
Today, both businesses live together under one roof at 105 St. Landry Street in Downtown Lafayette.
Part bakery. Part bookstore. Part community space.
