This August, we’re delving into How to Survive a Horror Story by Mallory Arnold, a debut thriller that’s part locked-room mystery, part haunted-house nightmare. Seven horror writers are invited to the sprawling Queen Manor to hear the will of the late Mortimer Queen… but they instead become participants in his final, twisted game. Solve riddles to move room by room, or the house itself will “consume” you. Think And Then There Were None meets The Haunting of Hill House, with a dose of meta-horror as the characters are themselves horror authors.
